AIM MOTORSPORT MYCHRON5 DASH LOGGER / KART LAP TIMER WITH GPS
The AIM MyChron 5 Dash Logger / Kart Lap Timer is a high-resolution graphical display with built in 10Hz GPS to sample, view and record kart engine parameters and lap data. The MyChron5 unit is a multifunction system which logs and stores speed, lap times (including split and predictive), gear, temperature, rpm as well as data from the optional LCU-One Lambda Controller and MyChron Expansion module.
The MyChron 5 features 1 temperature sensor input, which can be used to measure one of the following – water temperature, cylinder head temperature (CHT) / under spark or exhaust gas temperature (EGT). The Mychron5 is supplied with either a M10 water temperature sensor, an under plug CHT (cylinder head temperature) sensor or an EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) sensor (standard or M12 to suit KF Engine Type). Additional sensors can be added using the AiM MyChron Expansion, or if only 2 temperatures require monitoring then please consider the MyChron5 2T (2 temperature) version.
With 7 configurable display colours to choose from, enabling the driver to view clear, easy to read numerical read outs on track such as lap times and lap number, RPM in a configurable scale and 1 temperature value. Once back in the paddock you can scroll through all relevant data on the display: lap times, with best lap indication, max RPM and max temperature value.
The MyChron 5 has been developed to provide data acquisition solutions to the beginner, showing essential functional information, right through the spectrum to professional teams, who require detailed, tailored and specialised data. Data is recorded to the internal 4Gb memory, and can be downloaded via WiFi to your PC for post-race analysis with the professional Race Studio software (free to download).
Fully compatible with existing MyChron4 accessories, and upgradable as your racing progresses with many options which include: SmartyCam HD camera, LCU-One Lambda Controller and MyChron Expansion module.
Integrated GPS: The system takes advantage from an internal wide track database, in order to automatically understand at which track you are at, where and how many are the magnetic strips: without any further sensor or configuration you will automatically get lap times, predictive lap times and split times. GPS data, acquired ten times per second, are of course recorded with other signals in the internal data logger, in order to offer the possibility of a deeper analysis of your performance.
Robust housing with wider display: The new Nylon chassis with metallic push buttons guarantee even more resistance to shocks and water. The anti-scratch non-reflecting polycarbonate screen and the wider display ensure great readability.
Completely configurable pages: Define as many pages as you wish, showing graphic bars or just digits, via software or directly on your system.
Ambient Light Sensor: The MyChron5 provides optimum viewing in diverse lighting conditions: the display brightness is automatically adjusted according to the environment light.
Calculated Gear Number: In case your kart is a shift kart, you can decide to show the gear number, automatically calculated in a few hundredths of meters while you are driving.
Wide display with configurable multicolour backlight: More data require more space for looking at them. MyChron5 features a wide high resolution display with fully configurable backlight.
Rechargeable Lithium Battery: No problems with traditional batteries anymore: MyChron5 is powered by a dedicated rechargeable - and removable - lithium battery. It is long-lasting (about 10 hours duration) and easy to recharge, placed on its magnetic basement connected to the power adapter. An (optional) external power lead connection is available to connect to your karts 12v battery if you prefer.
Shift Light and Alarm LED's: Five RGB shift lights can be configured for each gear, choosing LED colour and RPM threshold values which will turn them on/off. They also allow RPM monitoring in a glance. Even alarms are managed in a very flexible way: you choose the situation that generates the alarm, the LED behaviour (blinking frequency and colour) when the alarm appears and the conditions for its switch-off.
WiFi connection: Download your data to your PC, look at the OnLine measures, upgrade your firmware, transmit parameters using the well-known Data Key or through fast WiFi connection.
Fully compatible with MyChron4 add-ons: Adding new modules you will get all the additional information you need: LCU-One, perfectly tuning the carburetion of your engine. MyChron Expansion, the channel multiplier that allows additional sensors to be added - additional temperature, brake, throttle (accelerator), Power Valve. SmartyCam HD or GP HD, for professional videos with real-time data overlaid.
